Since wearing the Talisman it seems to me that my green drop rate has declined (this might be related to level I don't know) but I have had two stunning blue drops which were almost too good to be true and certainly completely outside my experience up to 65. In any event the good drops have always been a few levels below mine. In all my questing to 65, I have never (to my recollection) had blue drops, outside instances obviously. I have always felt that my green drop rate was fair to good - I was happy with it anyway. I acquired the Talisman at 65 from the vendor. A lot of other items have those little extra fun text at the bottom and we don't don't believe those! Any item that has anything useful to it will be written green, and will say "Equip." or "Use."Ĭomment by AllakhazamOk look, I've read all you guys have had to say. That's kinda the point of grinding isn't it?Īll the text is yellow and in quotation marks. "Wearing this, one might find the rarest of items in the most mundane of locales!" Yup, you sure might. "anchors your spirit to the world, allowing you to come back from the most dreadful of demises once your essence returns to where you perished" Sounds a lot like a corpse run to me "draw great energy from ordinary food and drink - even heal wounds!" Happens anyway "Keeps dangerous critters at bay" True, since critters are yellow "Allows you to move through the seas" You guessed it - Swimming! "the ability to bound over obstacles and across small gaps" It's called "jump" However, all they are claiming is stuff that already happens! Every single amulet Griftah sells does exactly what it says it will do. Just messes with the way you look at luck.Įdited, Jun 8th 2007 4:50am by nogardgnikĬomment by AllakhazamOkay, I'm gonna clear this up once and for all. And their have been people that have played since it first came out, that have never seen an epic world drop. So far I have had 2 rare world epic's drop since the time i have started playing WoW, before BC, and before this thing existed. Has nothing to do with what your wearing when your around them. Because the loot tables are set dependent on spawn. But if you where wearing this it tricks you into thinking "OMG! THE THING REALLY WORKS!". So for instance, your runing around and some epic item drops, or your in an instance and an epic drops (a rare epic) and your NOT wearing this. Every one of them is true, but you dont need it to be true. All the things this guy sells are nothing more then "Fortune Cookies". mostly they are the same mobs just harder with more/different/better stats loot on their table lists.Ĭomment by AllakhazamPeople, I can understand why you would think this would do anything, but to be honest.
Before you bash it look at the tables between heroic and normal. It doesnt make a mob have loot but each mob is spawned with a specific loot table and it is my theory that this necklace moves the marker up and down for loot that can drop. My surmising is that it affects the loot table. It seems to be more effective with melee players. I dont win every item but it definitely helps our groups to get loot when I do a lot of the looting.Ĭasters have said that they dont get as many items to drop when they use it. For the WHOLE rest of the party only 1 green turned over for 1 person.
A typical run showed that in Scholo with a group of 5 people 3 blues, 14 greens, and a bunch of trash showed when I looted my corpses. This includes grey (trash) items, blues, and greens. It works like this: In an instance more items show on my loots than for the whole rest of the group. Comment by AllakhazamOk I've had this item on all my alts for a few months now.
